Recently I have been looking at getting a media streamer to watch all the movies stored on my media server and to possibly watch Netflix. The Boxee Box seems perfect for this. Yet the problem I have is that our home theater only supports component video, which the Boxee Box unfortunately does not support. Now I have two directions I could go.

1. Buy a different media streamer. Yet there are way too many choices out there. I have looked into the WD TV Live Hub, which supports component, but is very buggy and lacking some features.

2. Use an HDMI --> Component converter, such as the the HD Fury. However, there are also numerous versions of that product and I do not know if it will even work.

So what would the best option be? Has anyone successfully converted a digital to analog signal?

The Sage 300 HD will play most files and has component output.

Also works with recorded SageTV files.
