 Post subject: What is the best way to measure frame rates?

Location: Indiana...ugh :(
Never tried checking frame rates, curious what is the best way to do it

Windows 7 64 bit, AMD Phenom II X4 920, and ATI 4870 CF

CODMW2, L4D2, Crysis, Mass Effect 2, Fallout 3

I use FRAPS. It can record averages, mins, maxes, you name it. And it can display the current framerate in an overlay in the corner of the screen.
It can also take in-game video if you want to do that.
