Man, I have a million questions today.
My boss wants me to set up his machine with another NIC, and allow it to connect on a totally separate network to another computer, the payroll computer in use in another office (in the same building).
I have no idea how to configure this -- two totally separate networks on two machines. Do I need another switch? How do I configure that second interface? Are there better options?
Hope someone can help with this, as I am clueless.
My workplace use to have two NICs in the computer labs. This was done to use one NIC for the college's T1 Internet backbone and the other was for our own local LAN separate from the main campus LAN. This sound similar to what you want done.
Would you please verify this to eliminate any misunderstanding from what I read in your post.
