I currently only have one main modem for my cable internet pus a linksys WRT54G router w/ WIFI capabilities. I was wondering if its possible if I could get a PCI wireless card for my PC and still get good enough speed to game with reeally low pings.

thanks,.

I've read a few articles that the conversion to WiFi then back to ethernet will introduce an extra 8 to 14 ms to your pings.

I haven't tested it myself yet, but it sounds like an interesting thing to try. But you'll always be better off with vanilla wired ethernet with gaming.

i have wireless G pulsing through the house and it works fine for my internet gaming. (wolefenstein  , and battlefield and UT and Tribes 2) it works fine. where my computer is now i have a choice of wi-fi and ethernet (100MBs) and there's no noticable difference.
