I had a network going between computers. Win 2k (host) and WinXP(client/guest). Loaded winXP service pack #2, and the network were totally destroyed. Deleted winxp os and reinstalled os without the service pack. Combed through the win 2k machine to clean up any debris left by my oversight. As it stands, I can see the files I want from win 2k in the winxp machine; I just cannot open them. Any attempt at opening a file brings on the dialog box stating: I may not have permission to open said files, or the server may not have enough space available to process the command. Any help on this issue would be appreciated.

PS: Can ping ip addresses; the loop back, and the gateway; both locally, and to the network. Both machines can talk to one another. Permissions have been granted in the MMC of the win2k machine. Although nothing has been set in the group policy snap-in.
:x

You'll need to set a user account for each individual user on the respective machines...
