Hey Guys,

I have been experiencing problems at home with wireless internet speeds and wondering if it might be time for a new router.

I currently have a DSL-2340B. And recently the speeds for wireless have been very bad. They are bad for both network filesharing and for internet use. I am not sure if the problem is due to the number of wireless devices. We have 2 ipads, 2 laptops, 2 phones and 1 printer which are on most of the time.

Are there tests I can perform to see if it is the router or not? This router has been in this same location for a long time with no problems (it is in the basement directly under the living room where all of these devices are).

Thank you in advance

Phad.

If you have an android phone then I would recommend downloading WIFI analyzer. It could be another device is on the same channel as your router causing it to loose connectivity thus causing it to fall back to slower speeds.
