I'll be setting up an internet DNS that I want to connect with my external dyndns domain. I just want to basically have it to where I can type server.domain and have it directed to whatever app I'm connecting to, say a web interface. The issue I'm running in to is decided what the best fit for my network would be. The network is mostly windows but I'll have a lot of linux (and I'm sure other OS's) running on virtual machines. I've familiar with windows DNS and have been trained on it. I'm not familiar with linux though there are apparently some web interfaces that make it very windows like.
The main question to those who can answer: Which would be the lightest on resouces and easier to use as well as most compatible across platforms.
