I am interested in establishing an IPV6 network for my home -(for the equipment that can use it)
I know it doesn't make sense - but I want to understand IPV6 more and my cable company
won't say when they will support it.

There are lots of choices of routers that claim support Netgear and Dlink. but there are very
few Ethernet switches listed that claim support - all of them are expensive and big.
The smallest one I could find was 24 ports (or 8 ports but $1500 and stackable).

I am assuming that the cheap dumb switches available from most network vendors will not
support IPV6 but I am not sure. Will they just pass the data through?

From my reading it seems like most people will go with autoconfigured static IPs and since
there is no NAT and no DHCP most of the function of a router goes away and can be subsumed
in a fully capable IPV6 switch. Is that why I am not seeing any small cheap IPV6 switches?

Is anyone else trying out an IPV6 network in their home?
Thanks
