Hi,
I just ordered this router off of amazon for about 70 dollars. I've heard that this router supports DD-WRT. Is this true? also, I have aWRT54GS with DD-WRT fw and I was wondering if it were possible to wirelessly bridge the 2 so I could get better speed on my ps3. is that possible? if any other info is needed, I'll provide as best as I can

I assume you mean WZR-HP-G300NH, not WZR-HP-N300GH.

According to the dd-wrt database, WZR-HP-G300NH is supported.

Note, you don’t need dd-wrt on the Buffalo in order to accomplish your goals w/ the PS3. If you have a WRT54GS w/ dd-wrt, you just configure it as a "client bridge". However, that doesn't necessarily mean you're going to get better speed compared to the PS3's built-in wifi, esp. since the WRT54GS is only G.

I suppose if you installed dd-wrt on the Buffalo, you could alternatively use a WDS bridge. But you might lose all N capability in the process, not really sure since I rarely use WDS due to numerous compatibility issues w/ the protocol. Even if you did, you’d face the same issue regarding whether it was worth the effort since it’s still a G wireless connection.

well, I could get a second n router and bridge it, right? I'm just looking to utilize higher speeds from the ps3's gigabit port without having to run Cat6, as the location where my router is at can't be moved

also, I am having my desktop located in the same room as the ps3, and if there's performance gains to be had wired over a bridge than wireless, I much prefer that

Sure, obviously a second N router used as a bridge would increase your wireless speed, but of course you never mentioned that originally, only the G option.
