I just bought a WiFi enabled printer and would like to share it between two computers. I do not have a wireless setup or a network. Please let me know what I need to get to make sharing this printer through WiFi possible with 2 desktop PCs. Running windows 7 Pro 64 bit on both. Thanks in advance for the advice. :)

Methinks you would need a wireless network for your wifi printer.

Thanks for taking the time to answer my post,
however, that is the question. Which pieces of equipment do I need to get a WiFi network up and running. Don't need it for internet, just want the two PCs to share the printer. Should have been more precise with my question, sorry.

What kind of printer is it?

Off hand I'd say you'd want a couple of wireless adapters, be it PCI or a USB key, but without at least looking at what the manual spells out, this is just a pure guess since wireless could identify an b/g standards or bluetooth

I have an HP unit that works wireless but it talks to the AP. My friend has one set up more like an ad hoc and it's just the laptop and printer (I think my HP unit will do this but I didn't have a reason to check into this). I also know their are bluetooth printers out there.

Do you have a make and model for your printer?

I just set one of these printers up for a co-worker and the instructions seemed to imply that we needed a wireless router to act as an AP for the printer. Just FYI.
