Maximum PC

I would like to be able to stream music between three computers: two laptops and a desktop. The desktop and one of the laptops are running XP SP3 and the other laptop is running Windows 7 HP.

I attempted to do some research today, but became overwhelmed with all of the options. I know I could use Orb or VLC player, etc., but I'm essentially wondering if anyone has a suggestion as to a solid choice based on experience with a particular product or application.

I have CLEAR internet service (it's the only thing available, as my building is not wired for cable or Uverse), so I'm really looking for something that is rather simple and will just let me share movies and music on the various computers with each other...or even just between the laptop with Windows 7 and the desktop with XP. I attempted today to share music and movies through the workgroup feature in Windows, but was unsuccessful. Both the desktop and the laptop with Windows 7 were giving the same error message about not having the rights to access the other computer.

You can use iTunes or TVersity for sharing. I have use both TVersity will stream Audio and Video to Computers, Playstation 3, and XBox 360. iTunes just does Audio


Also on a personal note I can't for Clear to come to my area through 4G from sprint. As you see in my avator you can see what all I can get. Lovely rural area and there is only Dial-up and Satellite internet"Yuck"
