Right now in my store I have a private wireless network. I want to open up so my customers can use my wifi but I dont want them to be on the work network. Can I have a seperate network just with another router as a new access point or do I have to have a seperate incoming internet line for the 2nd router? Can it be done with one router? So I need one protected wireless network and one open wireless network.

I remember that there was a router that had a feature like that.

It's kind of hard to answer a question like this without having an idea of what your network looks like now. What's your concern with them being on the work network? Just using your bandwidth?

I guess setting up a static route with your WAP (so certain IPs only talk only to the internet gateway) or possibly setting up a proxy...but I'm not sure if either of those idea would work with what you have.

right now its just a wireless linksys router that serves wireless to my work pcs. what im worried about it customers using that same network and potentially being able to access the computers on my work network. I want my computers to be networked and have internet, and i want the public users to only have internet access and nothing else.

The Dlink DIR-655 supports a public wireless network, that is kept separate from the regular network.
