Hi folks,

I'm having a problem getting my router hooked up to the internet. I just moved on Friday and I can't get it working. At the old house I had Time Warner Roadrunner internet and everything worked great. Now in the new house I have Cox Cable and the router just basically quit.

I am connected if I come straight off my Motorola SB6120 cable modem. I have tried resetting the router to factory defaults and starting all over. I tried calling Cox, but they won't provide support for 3rd party routers even though it was working just fine last week before I had to change ISP's. Damn Cox, I was thoroughly happy with Time Warner!

If anyone has some suggestions for me, I would love to hear them.

Gear:

Modem: Motorola SB6120
Router: Apple Airport Extreme
Desktop running Windows 7 Pro 64 bit (wired)

If your modem supports DHCP you might need to set it to bridge mode, especially if it operates on the same subnet as your router. Another option if you can't get to the webpanel on the modem is to change the subnet on the router to something else like 192.168.0.x or 192.168.2.x
