I have a home wireless network and my problem is that i want to access files on a hard drive on my PC from my netbook to load onto my psp with media go (looking at this now i notice how ridiculous it sounds). I ran into a few problems along the way.

1.my PC won't Install Sony Media Go because it has troubles with quicktime.(problem to fix another time)

2.my netbook won't read files from my PC because it doesn't have access unless its in the public folder.

3. I don't know how to change the location for my public files on my C: drive.(Has only OS because smallest, but fastest) to read from my E: (drive which has all my media).

So if anyone can help me either make all the correct permissions so i can access my PC files from my netbook, or change the Public folder location so i can mark all my media in the E: drive as Public.

Thank you for your time.

Your issue is you need to share individual folders...

Which OSes are we talking about here?

Give this a read

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/wind ... th-someone

You seem to be more interested in the "Share files from any folder on your computer" since you aleady have the public folder available.
