As far as free ftp servers, your best bet would be windows skydrive, google account, or dropbox.

You may also host one on your computer. Filezilla is a good option for your ftp server. To make it available through the internet, try dyndns. If you need more help, ask.

If you want more specific help, let us know what your specific needs are.

I've been using FileZilla for years, and it's solid.

Sorry for my bad English.

First I have to thank you all for your replies. As I see I must have a computer connected to the Internet all day everyday. That is something I can't do. So I am looking for (I suppose) a web FTP hosting In which I would want to upload personal files closed to the public (password protected). Do you have any links with such FTPs? It's the setup as easy as signing up an email account? I want privacy and the most important, I want to accesss from anywhere.

windows skydrive, google account, or dropbox. Google them, they should be the first link.

I know of a free FTP Server it installs as a 30 day demo of enterprise then after 30 days goes to free version. I use it in a few of my PCs when windows share wigs out.
