Anyone here ever used Cisco's Network Magic program?

I have a fairly simple home network, but it's always given me problems about sharing printers/files between the Windows 7 host machine and the XP wireless laptop/desktop. They will work fine for a while, and then the printers and shared files become unreachable and I have to re-setup the network all over again.

I have a WRT54GL running the stock firmware/software.

I just want the network to actually work and not have to worry about it stopping while I'm away from home and leaving the wife and kids up the creek with their wireless connections.

I used it for a bit. It sort of a newb friendly application that shows a GUI of the network. The only useful merit to me is the ability to have a visual aid of the network and whos connecting. You can also monitor other PCs if they have it installed. Personally, I was better off doing everything manually.

What are you sharing with? Windows and Network Magic have their own sharing methods.

I have a Windows 7 desktop with a printer attached. I have a XP Laptop and a XP desktop. All of these have shared folders and share the one printer. In a month or two, I will be putting a HTPC in the living room running Windows 7 that will be connected through a wired connection to the router for the internet connection.

Nothing major, just simple home network.
