Rather then suffer through reading another thread on another forum trying to figure out what your talking about. Why don't you sum it up for us, so we can better understand whats going on.

ok so about 2 months back my internet started to become very slow and unresponsive even know i was getting around 8meg. i posted on the talk talk forum for around a month until they sent a BT engineer out to test my line but they didn't find a thing.

i have tried the following routers

dlink 2740r
echo-life HG532
echo-life HG520B

Even know im getting 8-11 Meg xbox live is unplayable but i noticed something strange read below:

I left my xbox on for 20minutes without joining a game so surprising i got a game with a green connection it started with no lagg then as the game went on the worse the lagg got. so it seems the longer i leave my router sync the better connection i get but when i actually get in a game it just sucks it all back out?

get where im coming from?

things i have tried

-----reformat pc
----- different router
------ different fillers
------ different wires
------ tried connecting to master socket ( still sucks)
------ changed dns to open

any ideas?

what are the models for your modem and router? also, is the computer close enough to where you can plug directly into the modem? test the internet without the router in the mix and that will help identify where the problem is coming from.

I looked up that router/dsl modem. the fact that you're using a router with a dsl modem integrated into it could be the problem. I have a dsl modem that is separate from my wireless router. The modem is used as a bridged modem because my router is the one logging into my dsl.

one thing you could do is to update the firmware on the router(s) that you are using to connect to your dsl. that could be a problem that has been fixed. If that doesn't help, then it could be in the configuration of the actual router that is the problem. Making sure that you are using a PPPoE connection might help.
