I'm having an interesting problem I didn't have before: my connection becomes 1000x (I kid you not) slower than normal until I call ifconfig/mii-tool and fix it. My question is why and how do I fix it. I run Slackware 10.0 with the 18.104.22.168 kernel and the ne2k-pci module (yes I have an Ne2000; it's at port 0x240). I did install a second slackware distro (same specs, except it's the 2.6.7 kernel) around the time this started to happen. Thanks for your help.
what is mii-tool? ohhhh linux problem lol. I cannot help with linux.
