Hi all,
I'm trying to find hardware/software to stream Audio/Video from a TV station to a rebroadcasting transmitter located on a mountain somewhere in a different city.

The distance is huge, and there is no LoS, so all thoughts of wireless/microwave links are out the window.
The only way to do it is through the internet.

So, here's the breakdown:

1. Original RCA A/V (yellow, red, white) signal goes into a machine that encodes it to something good enough for non-HDTV.
2. Which plugs into a 24mbps down, 1mbps up aDSL line.

and on the other side...

3. Receiving aDSL of 2mbps down, 256kbps up.
4. And a machine that decodes the signal back to RCA A/V and feeds it to the transmitter to go on-air.

Simple enough concept. There will not be any other listeners of the original stream, so we're only dealing with one single stream, and we have 1024kbps upload on the transmitting side to work with.

I'll setup the transmitting-side router with DynDNS so that the receiving machine can find it every time.

It'll have to be as foolproof as possible so that they could just plug it in and turn it ON.
