Maximum PC

I recently moved to the Washington DC area. I had Comcast at my old residence, and I recently signed on to Comcast here. My cable modem is able to connect to the internet, but Comcast's system is still registering my modem as located at my old address instead of my new one, and therefore won't let me surf beyond Comcast's setup page. I spent an hour on the phone with a Comcast rep trying to get it to work, to no avail.

A Comcast technician is scheduled to come set up the installation on Friday, but I'd rather get it working sooner. Anybody have any ideas on how to get my modem working here, before Friday?

Unless Comcast permits that MAC Address, there really isn't anything that can be done legally.

Surprisingly, it works now. I don't know what changed in 24 hours, but no problems anymore. So, forget my question.

It was prolly still attached to your old acct at first. Glad it's working now.
