friend of mine loves reading stories posted on a website, and as hes moving to spain in a month i thought a fun gift would be downloading the entire site to his laptop. i randomly googled around and found a couple programs to do this...however none of them really kept the text formatting of the story (no line breaks, so whole thing ends up looking liek one giant paragraph) does anyone know of any good (free) programs that can do this?

I think HTTrack is good, although I haven't used it since 2006, so it might even be great, awesome or sweet by now.

When its installed there should be an icon at the status bar or a menu in the command bar. The icon is a quick way where you right-click, edit before capture. The menu has a Capture Page As... which is the one you probably want. HTH

Keep in mind that whatever capture utility you decide to use the files are going to be huge. Imagine trying to download the entire MPC site and then FTPing it to your buddy.
