 Post subject: PHP and Javascript

Hey I am a newbie to internet webpage making and I was wondering if someone can explain to me what is the different btween PHP and javascript?

I like to take a guess and say PHP is mainly used server side and javascript is used in the webpages?

I think you are correct. Javascript is client-side, and PHP is server-side. If you are hosting a website using the webspace that your ISP alloted to you, you may not be able to use any server-side scripting programs.

PHP tends to run on the server. It creates dynamic web-pages (among other things).

Javascript runs on/in your browser.

Try Google for broad questions like this. Your question is similar to going into an automotive forum and asking 'what is the difference between cars and trucks'.
