I'm looking for a reputable web hosting site that will provide support for PHP, ASP, CGI (the usual suspects), but also ASP.NET. This pretty much relegates my selection to those running IIS 6.0, but I'm considering this for future expansion...

I'd also like to keep the cost below $200 a year. It's for a martial arts website, and so far I have a couple good candidates, but not anyone that support ASP.NET.

Thanks. ;-)

I know Verio supports ASP.NET. The Bronz plan with a one year contract would run about $240.00. Some info here:

http://hosting.verio.com/index.php/unix ... I6EFEkutsE

That would be running on Windows Server 2003.

See, I told you there wasn't a .NET market. :P

hahaha...

bite me. lol.

I found that as long as you have the framework installed you can support ASP.NET on IIS 5.0. As soon as the framework comes to linux then Apache will never be the same again...heh,heh. ;-) It won't have to be infected like it is now with Java detritus...heh,heh.

;-)

As soon as it comes to Linux? Haha.... ok, we shall continue this conversation in 2008! :P

Hopefully, spec will finish this soon....
Code:
appPlatform
Currently under development, SPECappPlatform is designed to measure the scalability and performance of enterprise platforms (such as J2EE and .NET) running web services. The benchmark will include features that are typical in customers' enterprise applications, such as transactions, persistence services, web services, and messaging.

....so the world can see that .NET is just a J2EE implementation running on cheap hardware. ;)

Exactly. .NET is nothing but J2EE when done right... ;)

Based on the comments at JavaOne, we might see a .NET CLR capable of running Java bytecode on Windows AND jvm's capable of running .NET ic on other platforms.

What is the .NET equivalent of J2ME?
