This seems to be related to TMP, but I'm not 100% positive. I have http://www.google.com/ig set as the homepage, and everytime I close and open a new Firefox, it goes to the homepage not signed in. Anyone know how to get around this?

I didn't have this problem before I had to reinstall Windows and reinstall Firefox.

When you signed in here: "Remember me on this computer". Did you put a check in the box next to remember you?

If you run Ccleaner it will remove your checkmark unless you teach Ccleaner to not remove it.

Yes, it's checked when I signed in. I also don't have to re-sign when I open Firefox, I just have to hit the Home button.

Open Firefox, go to where you are signed in on your home page. Right click the URL and copy, go to tools>options, right click in the home window and left click and paste, click OK.

Now every time you open Firefox it should open your home page all signed in.

Whether signed in or not, the URL remains http://www.google.com/ig.

In tools>options are you pasting your home page in the window, then clicking on OK?

While signed in to your customized home page select Tools>Options>Main

When Firefox Starts = Show My Homepage.

Home Page: = Click "Use Current Page".

Even doing that I still have to periodically sign into Google. Usually every two or three days.

Google may have a sign-in timeout in effect, look into their policy for how long they allow you to remain signed in without any activity.

Are you using a different version of Firefox then you had before the reinstall?

What I am seeing is that I have say 7 tabs as my home pages, I then sign into them and in the options select use current pages. I then close FF and open it, some pages are signed in while others aren't. I end up signing in and going about my business.

Try logging in then resaving the pages see if that works. If not, do you have cookies set to dump when you close?

No, but before the reinstall, my latest 2.0.0.12 was updated from previous version, while the new one is a fresh 2.0.0.12 from scratch.

Cookies aren't set to dump, because this is only happening to the homepage.

uninstall anything from google. in add/remove programs, then if u use google as a search engine then activate it by clickin on the downarrow in the search box top right and then manage search engines.

google and yahoo usually include there home site or tool bar as a extra on software like ccleaner when u install them. so to get rid of them a full uninstall is needed.

also, here is a link to other helpful tweaks to firefox scroll to my post:

Here's an interesting find when I've set Yahoo's personal homepage as the homepage:

We noticed you may have signed in or signed out in another window. Click OK to reload your page.

Anyone figure out a solution from that?

Just curious, are you also using the GMail manager extension? It seems that on my computer having that enabled to autologin to GMail manages to break the cookie for gmail so if I just go to gmail.com I have to sign in even though GMail Manager has signed in itself somehow.

I'm not using Gmail Manager specifically, but I'm using the WebMail Notifier extension.

Turning off the auto-login from WebMail Notifier seems to have fixed it. Thanks.
