I have my firewall and virus protection at 100%, but cookies and other tracking methods kinda get to me. Using an annonymous site to surf under the rader, would that be safer or less safe? I'm just worried about one company knowing everything instead of many companies knowing a little. What are your thoughts? I'm thinking on the premise that the company you use to be annonymous keeps track of where you go. Then for what ever reason, they sell or give your info to the people you were trying to hide from.

I was thinking more on the lines of if i go to site X without being annonymous, they wouldnt think twice about my ip or info. But if you go surfing around everywhere using one of them annonymous sites, then they may think, hey this guy is up to something because he is using this annonymous site. I ran across one the other day and it made me suspicious. Seems like it would throw up a flag, but then again I have no idea how they work either, so maybe the site or content taker doesn't reallize that you are being annonymous.

the process of cookie tracking is automated..nobody is watching. If you were trying to do something to their site thats different, they would know and take action

Your probobly hinking along the lines of Ghost Surf or something. I don't know much about it, but from what I understand Ghost Surf still has your information sooo..

To surf anonomously, just get a free proxy program and a list of free proxies which can be found off google. Connect to about 50 proxies most local to you, and away you go.

OF course, don't do anything illegal with this information and never use access diver.

There is no such thing as anonymous surfing -someone, somewhere, has a log file of everything you do on the net. It's not paranoia, it's a fact...
