Hello all. I'm new to MS NetMeeting and want to connect with a particular group of servers. Only thing is, I can't find any search function in the program or the options for searching servers. Could anyone enlighten me on how to do this? Thanks in advance...

If you're behind a router/firewall, there's about 6 or 7 ports you need to open up for NetMeeting to work.

Thanks Flytrap, that's a start. I am indeed behind a router running DHCP with NAT. So do you know which ports I need to open? And will that allow me to search for servers once they are open? Thanks...

NetMeeting uses the following Internet Protocol (IP) ports:

Port Purpose
----------------------------------------------------
389 Internet Locator Server [Transmission Control Protocol (TCP)]
522 User Location Server (TCP)
1503 T.120 (TCP)
1720 H.323 call setup (TCP)
1731 Audio call control (TCP)
Dynamic H.323 call control (TCP)
Dynamic H.323 streaming [Realtime Transport Protocol (RTP) over User Datagram Protocol (UDP)]

Dynamic UDP connections on dynamically assigned ports (1024-65535).

I gave up on netmeeting a long time ago.

Video Conferencing on MSN Messenger and AIM is a whole lot easier and only requires one port opened.
