Hey folks,

I'm writing an article on bittorrent, and I'm looking for a little help. It is a technical article, focussing primarily on the bittorrent as a technology, but also as a new tool for distributing data. So, I'm hoping you'll be kind enough to share any links you might have with me. I'm looking for descriptions of the technology, as well as interesting (and legal!) uses of the software. In particular, things such as linux distros using bt to distribute software, or startups using bt to share their goods ... even musicians or other creators of media using bt to distribute their property.

TIA for any help you might be able to provide. :D

With regards to Linux, I especially like this point:

"[...]Linux distributions also utilize BitTorrent to provide free copies of their operating system, allowing them to compete with larger, more established OS vendors who have nearly unlimited bandwidth."

Found here:
Linkage

It's an obvious point, but for some reason I had that link bookmarked and that's what jumped out at me from it right now.

i'll post it when I find the exact issue, but..

MaxPc had a short article about how bitorrents were going to be used in conjunction with an RSS like server to load content to consumers' Tivo like devices.
