My isp sucks. I have a bandwidth limit of 380Kbps. My router is capable of alot more, so what do you think is a good isp that hosts 1/GBps internet speeds but cheap?

I've never heard of any ISP offering internet that fast. If you do find one it certainly won't be cheap.

The ISPs you can choose from depend on where you live and what companies decided to set up shop there. Can you give us some clues?
For example, the part of town where I live has two options for broadband: Comcast cable with 250GB/month or Verizon DSL uncapped. Anyone who resells Verizon charges more than VZ itself does. Outlying areas get stuck with Comcast or dialup.
Picking an ISP, the type of service, and the download speed are a balancing act. Which is more important to you - speed or cost?

Google in kansas city... but its a test market. (link)

Also, there's a government run ISP in Wilson, NC that's just 30 mins away from me that offers crazy high speed up/download rates for $50 a month. Something like 100 down/50 up with higher speeds avaliable to homes.

So who's your ISP now?

380 sounds more like an upload limit then it does a download limit.

Changing ISPs may provide little relief for you.
