Maximum PC

Hi All,

I own a small takeaway restaurant and wonder if is it worth to invest in my own website or just sign up with one of the on-line catalogues like just-eat for instance?

If you don't expect anything but general traffic, I think you can host your own website with common broadband and Frontpage or the like. I wouldn't do anything else but list your menu (don't take orders), location, hours, and some pictures; but it's very doable for free dude.

From my experience, there's foodies out there that will write stuff up for you. That's good; or it can be bad. Everyone's a critic, and everyone has a blogspot. My favorite joint over the decades just shut down, and it seems fly-by eaters had different opinions than us huge fans that went every morning for over 20 years.

They're all full of crap, including the original writer. It's a cafe, not a La Jolla lobster house.

Honestly, just use a simple hosting package from godaddy, 1and1 or plenty of other cheap sites. Its a few bucks a month and really easy to setup. You don't need to be a programmer now days to setup a simple full featured website but it still wouldn't be a bad idea to hire a graphic designer; but just make sure you see what their work is. For something like your needs, even setting up a custom wordpress blog will work for you and you could even set it up yourself.
