Seriously...just because it's supposedly open doesn't mean that people shouldn't be compensated for their efforts.
Perhaps posting your code in either alt.os or the programmers forum would also reveal this idea to you...
This is just a website, not a program. Open Source, built on Drupal 7 modified for our needs like Maximum PC's web site, If you want the code you can find it on
http://www.drupal.org It is a project that allows users to make the content, and decide how it gets seen. The beta test has no compensation, you could, think that the compensation is the entire tech/gamer community being able to post the news and express views that are important to them.
Also we are working on proprietary modules that will allow people to have Overclocking/Gaming competitions and win prizes that will be purchase by the ZP team, as well as a few that we aren't willing to discuss at this point. Our team has sunk all the money we have into servers/development, we have only a little left that is being reserved for advertising.
So if you know someone that wouldn't mind helping out for the greater good, let us know. If not, why bother wasting your time typing in this thread ?
Edit: If you want compensation, you could always join the team and be like the rest of us and hope things go well, as far as user base and adverts.
