Looking to get a T1 since my cable connection is lame these days.

How much should a full 1.5Mb/s T1 cost in the New York area?

IIRC T1's in heavily populated areas run 500-1000$ a month, though with the new fiber to the home or whatever many people are getting 10+ mbit both ways for the low price of a broadband connection. =/

EDIT: Oh yeah, last time I checked out T1 lines it was something like $699/month + $150 installation + Equipment.

I'm in Delaware.

I don't ski, but I can damned sight get drunk! :)

BTW- All I know about T's is that they are 'spensive.

ok my buddy mysh the IT guy up at the mountain said the corporate rate for the T1 is $699 a month will 24/7 tech support. it turns out the mountain has two T1 connections. One of the lodge and server database and the other line is split between some of the leet house owners who spend 10,000 bucks a year skiing in their 2 million dollar houses.

Here is the Louisville area, there is a compnay offering it for 450 a month. I have no idea what the equipment and installation costs, but that is the monthly price.
I don't ski either. Last time I did, I almost lost my knee in a tragic bunny slope accident.

My friend's dad owns one of those houses, off of lower wipeout. At the end of the day, we take the Wonderama lift and ski down right to his house. I don't think his season pass cost anywhere near $10,000.

Thanks. Alas, once again, this all has been friggin' rendered moot by TPTB at my office, I'm now out of the loop.

If they get it though, I'll be sure to let everyone know. Thanks again for all the feedback. Now, back to our irregularly scheduled Ski Windham discussion :P
