EDIT: FUcking gay ass Yahoo (apparently as of April 24 2k4) made it so u must pay to access it via POP3

d) had someone say that to you instead of saying "try smtp.yahoo.com. just use a google or something"

If you're trying to do pop access to your Yahoo account from an email client, then you will have to download Ypops. Get it here! There is documentation on the site on how to configure it for your client. I suggest printing it first. This is the documetation for Thunderbird Print Me!
