So really what is so good about this app? How is it better then IE? And i've heard it doesn't have Java support.

It's easy to use, customizeable through Extensions, is immune to almost any form of spyware, much more secure, is web-standards compliant, faster (with the right tweaks)... I can go on and on.

And I've never had a problem with Java in Firefox. As long as you have the latest versions of both,it should work fine.

i love firefox. IE is a piece of sh*t compared to mozilla firefox. the pop-up integrated blocker for firefox is really good and it does a good job get rid of pop-ups. im using firefox all the time and i never really get any pop-ups.

Those in the know.... Use Mo. Simple as that. All one has to do is download Fire Fox, add some extensions... add the tabbed browsing button to the toolbar and you will never go back to I.E. (with the exception of when I download using mIRC. For some reason the cntrl V doesn't work to paste the download pathway in FF like it does for IE. Although I concede I am probably doing something wrong)

I keep a few browsers, my favorite, the one I use for just about everything is an IE hack called Crazybrowser. It's tabbed browsing, tabs which you can drag, & has a pop up stopper. I like it better than firefox, which I do keep open too for my rose forums. Firefox has this issue I just can't get passed, when I use the back button, 8 times out of 10, it will not put me back to where I was reading, but will scroll the page to the very top.

Try Crazybrowser & Firefox.

If it bugs you that much, download the source tree, fix it, and send it back for review. It might not get approved, but you can still use it.

I.e. Firefox is open-source, so you can download the source code and fix the problem.

Not something I'm interested in doing.

Thanks everyone, i only wrote this post to show my friend (a disbeliever in Mozilla) how good it is. I've been using Mozilla ever since it came out, from Firbird to Firefox. It is far more superior than IE. I don't know if my friend will be convinced into liking it, b/c he's such a baby about things when he is wrong.

I'm using Fire Fox right now, and I lve how much more secure it is over IE without all those pesky Active X controls!
