So long as they don't destroy mySQL, I'm not overly concerned .. but I'm definitely keeping my eyes open!

Jip, as you mentioned, you can move it if you feel it will get more traffic. Leave a shadow here too. :)

Yeah. I am interested to see what will happen. We have Oracle on a few applications here at work. I don't mind it but I only have to query it every once in a while. Once my job is set up with the right query I don't have to deal with it. We are probalby 85% Microsoft anyway.

To my knowledge there is no MySQL or Solaris. Only use Java for 3rd party / vendor applications (we don't write anything in Java).

However, my other "job"... we are reliant on MySQL.
