No problem lol.
While I'm thinking about it, do you know any good objective C tutorials? I've been refreshing myself on regular C, but I'm not sure how similar Objective C is.

Nope, I don't ... :( ... all my experience in that area is C++ using Boost and C#.

I ain't stupid. Why work harder than you have to?

Then again, I wouldn't necessary call it easy, just faster to develop with. That adds a whole different set of issues.

True.

Though, and I realise I was far from clear, I was referring to 'easy money' in the sense that there is so much work for C# programmers, you can land a paying gig providing you can breathe, type, and claim proficiency with the language.

'Easy' in terms of the actual programming, as always, depends entirely on what you're doing.

Yeah .. apparently we aren't stupid enough to discover the apps that the common person is willing to pay for ... though I admit that the coding for that particular app sounds decidedly non-trivial.

In other news: one of my co-workers installed the SDK on this phone. That is, on the phone itself .. he can build / compiles applications directly on his phone.

It is ridiculously limited and not at all useful as a dev tool, but it was a pretty nifty hack imo.

Interesting, but...

usefulness > niftiness

Yeah .. the best he's been able to do is shell into the phone through a terminal and use his PC to do the dev work and he just builds and tests the app on his phone.

The biggest problem, of course, is compilation 'speed' or lack thereof.

Could have ... but didn't. :?

Me too.

Did you hear that Apple allowed 4 new browsers into the App Store? So much for 'don't compete with our apps' .. ?

YAY!!!!! Can it be too long now before Firefox for iPhone, or is Apple too afraid that everyone will kill Safari after they try FF?

We should make a maximum PC iPhone dev team!

P.S. Sorry for the double post ;)

Jip and I sort of kicked around the idea of that. I would totally be down for doing it. I already have some web space we could use if we needed to host anything (a wiki perhaps?). The only reason I haven't been more involved is I don't have a "mac" yet (and I have been swamped this week with some other things).

Maybe this weekend I can get something going?

I am going to be watching eBay like a hawk. I am hoping I can snag a good deal on another box. They have some decently priced used MB for around $500. I would just hook it up to an external keyboard, monitor, and mouse....

And I have my Macbook (and a nice one too), with the SDK on and working, so I'm certainly down for it.
