I am working on a Java application that needs to be compiled into a native windows .exe. I have looked at a few utilities, but most of them require a fee to use, and until then, display a "This program made by ______" message at the top of the console window. Does anyone know of a free option for this?

You can start here:

http://www.thefreecountry.com/compilers/java.shtml

Scroll down the page and there are a few options. Possibly one of those will work for you.

Thanks, but it doesn't look like those will work. The one that compiled Java bytecode to C looked interesting, but it is obsolete and tied to JDK 1.1 :(
