When I open a Contact in Outlook 2007, there's a fair bit of information presented. I don't want to mess with the "primary" page as it is busy enough as is (although editing it would be nice, perhaps to make it less busy). What I want is to be able to edit the "Details" page; there's a huge amount of empty space I could fill with information pertinent to the person. I know how to add custom fields to the "All Fields" but those don't show up in the primary page or the Details page.

How do I get those custom fields to show up in Details?

Can you post a screenshot of which page / panel you are talking about?

I just opened a contact in Outlook 2007 and didn't see a details page.

I suspect that you're SOL, though, because I don't think that MS allows you to configure that screen. I'm not certain, though, which is why I'd like a screenie so I know we're talking about the same thing.

You might be able to build an add-in that "replaces" it. I would like to get into some add-in development at some point.

This screen... The blue arrow shows what button I clicked on the Ribbon from the main screen to get to the "Details."

What have you looked into in terms of outlook add-in programming? I have been thinking of trying my hand at it myself.

But, unless they exposed something to you, I am not sure you could edit that screen. That would be amazingly sweet if they did overload / expose the classes you need for that form to you.

I'll have to look into that, as soon as the Vista Theme Changer project is finished (it's below this thread)...
