I am trying to create a website, so I made a .html file with Microsoft Publisher 2007 and uploaded into my website, hosted by freeservers.com. When I try and view the website everything shows up like this: www.elegytheband.4t.com

It looks like you forgot to upload the images. When you upload the images, make sure they are in the same relative path from your main page.

That's what happens when someone uses MS Publisher to create a page.

We ran into this when I was the Tech Director for a small non-profit. We were going to work with a small per-school type place that had a website, that to us, looked aweful. Looking at it in Firefox or Safari it just looked bad. It was fine in IE. It was built in MS Word...

If you want your sites to work for everybody, don't use Office products to build websites. It works okay in corporate intranets because they all use the same things (mostly).

For the public internet, it just isn't a good idea.

I strongly recommend that you rebuild the site using nVu. This is the Mozilla Foundation's free and open source web authoring system. It is idea for cross-platform and cross-browser compatibility.

It is also easy to use and did I mention that it is free?

This is probably due to the image path in the html code. Take the code that was generated by publisher, get on Google, clean it up and try again.
