Are there any (Free) database design/planning tools that allow you to create a diagram showing relationships between tables and table structures without having to actually write any code?
I'm aware of Visio, but don't really want to spend the money if I don't have to. I know that SQL Server has a diagraming section, but this is usually for after you've created your tables, you can visually create relationships. I want to diagram first the tables and relationships before I even write code.
I'm still pretty new to MS SQL (have worked with MySQL quite a bit), so if there is a tool I'm missing thats included with SQL Server Express 2008 (which is what I'm working with now), please let me know.
