Having a bit of trouble installing and getting PHP to work properly with IIS 6.0 on Server 2003. Any guidance and advise is appreciated. (As well as the next step of installing mySQL)

Ultimate Desired Outcome:
Server completely ready for PHP forums, pic galleries, blogs, and sites.

heh... i'd like to see how to pull this off too. I spent a good week futzing around with php and IIS and never got it to work right. Managed to completely hose IIS and had to do a reinstall. Finally tossed in the towel and just installed apache.

IIRC, PHP 5.0 has a Windows installer, just download it, install it and let the installer configure IIS for you. Otherwise, what problem are you getting? Otherwise, Apache is the way to go (I like Apache better than IIS anyday, unless I'm serving up ASP.NET pages).

I already have PHP 5.0.4 installed. The installation went fine. Even the config of IIS (which i found directions to on a website) seemed to go alright. The error I get when trying to view a test .php file is "The specified CGI application misbehaved by not returning a complete set of HTTP headers."

I have searched and found people with the same problem, but no clear answer as to the root cause or a fix.

Is the installer configurer the same download as PHP 5? or a seperate package I need to look for?

Assuming I get PHP up and running. Any suggestions or comments about installing mySQL for PHP databases. (forums, blogs, etc.)
