K for starters Im not a programmer but I spend alot of time playing online games and being online in general.
Ive read before where people tweaked there packet size. If your wondering why this might be beneficial, well bigger packets are better for downloading and smaller packets are better for online games....or so Ive read in many places.
My question is, is there a reasonably simple way to change the packet size on the fly. Like say for instance Im about to go play a online game and I want the best performance out of my connection.
Is there some way I could set some preference?
Are there any programs that will help you get the most out of the connection for playing games? I know Ive seen people write how they changed there packet size and checked there performance. Id really like to know how to do that? Would some advance router settings do that kind of thing?
Thanks for any and all help. I hope this is the place to post that as I would think you guys would be the most knowledgeable on this kind of tweaking.
