Over the past two weeks I've written nearly 600 unit tests using JUnit and plan on doing a 100 or so acceptance tests with HttpUnit which has gotten me to thinking (scary thought).

Does your company use Extreme Programming (XP) methodologies, and if so, do you like them?

Note: I've changed the focus from company to team since most large companies have teams that employ very different software development methods. Also, I am creating a related poll about whether you like or dislike the XP methodologies; please try and focus the discussion to the correct thread - this one should concern whether your team uses XP, what parts of XP, is it helping, etc. Whether you like or dislike some aspect of XP is a topic for the other thread.

As I mentioned, we now use automated testing on at least one project - mine. And there are plenty of iterations now occuring (albeit, I plan on getting pretty far along in acceptance testing before starting another iteration).

Soon I'll start aggressively refactoring parts of this project. I'm also considering adding at least one big visible chart (BVC) in the hallway to facilitate the adoption of XP practices by some other members. Has anyone used BVCs and how did they work out?
