Does anyone know how I can change a startup program in the local user run folder so that it boots minimized? (Speedfan)

look at the start command.

start /min program_name.exe

there doesn't appear to be a start command, I'm not up close and personal with the registry but I know my way around. I'm in MyComputer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run I added the key myself, I just put it in the directory with the other user specific programs I have booting. Name: SpeedFan - Type:REG_SZ - Data: C:\Program Files\SpeedFan\Speedfan.exe

Why not write an app yourself that launches it with SW_HIDE as the window mode at startup?

In SpeedFan 4.23... click Configure > Options and check the Start Minimized box.
