Two things I have a problem with

I study a lot of example code from books and it just irritates me to have to convert the project and remove the 9 from dxerr.

1 Project Conversion
I am tired converting every project I open up in VS studio. All the example code is written in older versions of C++. Cant VS do the conversion on its on without showing the stupid wizard everytime? If not is there some 3rd party tool that will convert every project I want to look at without having to manually convert them one by one.

2 dxerr9
Every project I want to look at has dxerr9. Every time I have to go to the linker and the cpp file that has dxerr9 and delete the 9 for the project to compile. Is there some sort of tool that fix this for me with out me having to change it myself?

Thanks

You want to have control over the conversion. It isn't something that should be automagical. Wait till you have to migrate a huge solution. :)

Sounds like you should try to find newer examples of the code OR use an older environment.
