I seem to having a rather annoying problem. Everytime i try to compile my large program (about 17 projects) i get an error saying that VBExpress cannot access the file because it is in use by another process (this happens on two of the projects). Does any one know how to fix this :?:

Something has a hold of the projects. Try using a process viewer to see what process is holding onto the projects. Otherwise, try closing those two projects and then hit the compile button.

I opened a new instance of VBExpress '05 and added the 2 projects in question to a blank solution and attempted to complie them both with no success.

Do you mean a process view like Task Manager on XP or something else?

I use a program called Process explorer.

You can view what Handle is holding onto the projects in question.

This is an odd problem, that and I've never messed with VBExpress '05.

That (and another program called WhoLockMe) tells me that its the IDE locking the file.

How do i get to unlock the file and me be able to compile it again?

Try closing it in all tabs, or opening all the files.
