Maximum PC

Does anyone know where I can get a copy of VS6 or VB6? Would prefer the entire Visual Studio Suite, but will settle for VB6 if that's all i can get.

(I have a program I need to update that was written in VB6 and can't really port it to .NET at this point---but I some how have misplaced my VS6 CDs during a recent move...)

You can download the VS 2010 Beta here or you can nab the Express version from MS directly.

Every other version needs to be purchased, I believe. I'm sure Crash knows better than I, though.

No, unfortunately I need Version 6 (I know, it's like 10-12 years old now) because to convert it to the current-day .Net standards would take too much time and effort right now (I need to get this thing updated ASAP). I tried to upgrade it to the 2005 edition, and even 2005 threw up a ton of errors during conversion (not really errors, but fixed i Had to make in order to have it work properly with .Net). Maybe someday I'll update it to .NET, but for now, I need to just get the thing updated...

If you have to buy it, the best price if have found is $200 (at least from a source I am comfortable with).

The main reason is time... but also for the fact that the program works fine as it is (just needs updating) and I'm fearing that by trying to port/re-write it with a newer version it may cause problems (either now, or down the line). I know at some point I'll have to re-do the program in VB.NET (or maybe I could try converting it to Visual C#.Net if I get a lot of time). My main reason here is time. Additionally, the target system is only a Windows XP system (and while .NET applications can be deployed onto XP systems, I'd like to keep it as original as possible).

The funny thing is that I have the VB6 Learning Edition, but that version lacks the compiler I need to compile when I'm done making changes...

Yes, I do. But from what I saw everywhere else, people wanted $300+ for it. Even the Standard edition would be fine.
