The Nikon camp has some nice toys, especially the new DX lenses (17-55 f/2.8 or 200-400 f/4.0 *drool*) but I just wish Nikon cameras would do better in the high ISO department, I fear Canon is owning them there, hands down, especially at 1600 and 3200.
I do two types of photography ... outdoor landscape, and outdoor climbing. The vast majority of my climbing pictures are taken during sunny days, generally in the shade ... and most of my outdoor shots are also during the day ... so I'm too concerned with the upper-end ISOs. I do need a fast camera, though, that can take several crisp shots of climbers in motion ... so when I have the money, I'll probably buy the fastest camera from in my price range ... as long as it has a large range of quality glass.
How bout saving up an extra 500$ for the Canon 20D
It all depends on the size of my bonus.
*shivers in anticipation*
