Hey guys,

I'm looking to invest in a projector to hook up to a home PC to watch shows on. I don't want to spend a whole lot of money. Maybe $200-$300 bucks? I live in Canada, so keep that in mind if you are going to recommend specific sites.

Am I wasting my money at this low price point? Or can I still get something decent?

Well, if Newegg.ca projectors start at $500, then I say yes, you're wasting your time trying to find something at your budget.

And I really don't know about the stuff on Amazon.ca. They don't look like they have much in the way of quality.

Yeah you are right, looks like the screens are really expensive too. Looks like this is more of a $1000 project, lol.

The only way you will ever get anything close to an entry level quality projector is by buying used.

Most low-priced projectors are designed for office/classroom use where quality isn't important.
