I have an old computer I would like to connect to my TV. It is also an older TV and only accepts S-Video or the old school RCA (Red,White,Yellow) imputs. Is it possible to convert the DVI from my video card into one of these formats to be able to stream from my TV?

That cable is a DVi to component and not the Red/White/Yellow RCA kind that he needs.

DVI is a digital signal so you can't just get a cable that will convert to RCA.

I recommend getting a USB to RCA cable.

I read through the description and the reviews, and it looks like that USB to RCA is not designed to connect a PC to a TV. It will not work that way. It is designed to connect something like a usb camera or cam corder to a TV.

Boy is my face red.

I've used USB to RCA before but it was in the opposite direction than what you want. (capture instead of output)

The short answer is no. DVI is a digital interface, so it's already incompatible with S-Video and composite video. While DVI does support analog output via VGA, TVs don't explicitly support.

Your best bet is to find a cheap graphics card that has the output you want. Or if you can find it, a USB dongle.
