Intel's Core i7-3770K (ES) vs i7-2600K vs i7-3960X. A bit of proof that Ivy is truly only a Tick. Bring on Haswell. Enjoy!

Thanks for the link, very informative.

I wished they compared the power usage of each of those cpu's, but yeah, while the ivy bridge is only a tick, you still can't beat the idea of replacing the good valued, current level sandy bridge chips with ivy bridge for the same expected price bracket.

Plus, Ivy Bridge brings with it pcie 3.0 support and 20 lanes for gpu's instead of pcie 2.0 with 16 lanes; better suited for people who don't want to pay the high price of the lga 2011's but still run triple/quad gpu's and not be bogged down by the pcie lanes. Then again, people who have money to dump on 250+ per 3.0 card would probably have the cash to get SB-E... And still not needed in most games yet.
